i would hazard a guess at filling it with the normal amount and then seeing the levels.....

I do not recall aprilia stating that the actual volume of oil needed would increase after the change.....

I was about to ask the same question as Joe!

I will be doing an oil and filter change tonight, and upgrading the oil filter case to the new one.

I bought some 15W 50 s/s last night and its quite a bit more expensive than the 10W 40 s/s I've used in all my jap IL4's in the past. I could have shopped around and possibly got it a bit cheaper, but I wanted to do it tonight.

Brand? Plutoline (somehting like that!).
Cost? £38

Hands up if you think I was robbed?! hehe

could have got cheaper, but not by much

i think i explain it to myself as i own a thoroughbred V Twin.....

it is worth doing it properly

oh, I change my oil twice a year, irrespective of miles.....

(I will admit i do use my old oil to top up the wife's broomstick though....)
