Rear Sprocket

#1 Post by DavShill » Thu Mar 25, 2010 7:17 pm

I will need to change chain and sprockets this year. Already got a new 15t front but was looking at this for the rear.

Anyone used them? Is it just a gimmick and am I being suckered by the bling value? I know there have been a couple of scary stories about chain and sprocket failure recently.

I've got one ready to fit to my Oz wheels (when I get my arse in gear), but haven't had any actual experience of them in use. They are supposed to work as well as they look - allegedly...

Hi all,

Yes davShill,

I have said article fitted to my oz gold wheels, suppose to last longer, and yes, the bling factor is great :smt007 Got my hub powder-coated gold as well...

I hve just reduced from a 43 to 41 rear and 15 front! And bejesus it certainly picks up quite smartly :smt003

Enjoy your buy, plus from calsport, postage is free :smt002
My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!

Can't see eBay at work, so don't know what you are looking at Dave.
I used Talon gold sprockets front and rear and I am very pleased fo far, 15T front and standard rear, which works very well.
It is worth considering going an extra tooth on the back so chain length is then back to normal, but it would probably then be a bit too low geared for me.
Alloy rear steel front that I bought via an eBay shop.
