I've got a 1966 Honda CB72 250cc sitting in my garage. It's been there since the late 70s when I bought it as a donor bike for spares for my CB77 305cc. Predictably, neither of them have run since the mid-70s. I'm still intending to restore the CB77, but the CB72 is surplus to requirements.
I'm aware that these old beauties are now very sought after, but how much would a 98% complete, non-runner in blue be worth. It will need full restoration, but pretty much every part is restorable (even the steel mudguards).
Anyone got any idea? If needed I could post up some pics/
CB72 - what's it worth?

I've got a CB77 in the garage waiting restoration too. Bought it off a mate who had been using it up to few years ago but hasn't run since. I WILL get around to it one day - it's just too bl**dy cold in the garage in winter and summer is for riding (and diving!).

The ride is the reason ........ the destination is just the excuse.

That's exactly why I recently decided to get another modern bike. I thought about a classic to restore or tinker with, but these days I'm exactly the same as you Dave, (only older!).Tweaker wrote:I've got a CB77 in the garage waiting restoration too. in summer I ride, in winter I still ride on dry days, when I can, but my body doesn't like working in a cold garage in winter. (It's not to happy on the garage floor on warm days!)
If I bought a project it wouldn stay like that for years!
Do miss that side though.
