Am looking for the rear shock cover flap that fits to the under tray of a falco ( short bit of plastic that sits infront of the shock and ontop of the swinging arm ) .........Mines a 2005 model ......well 2004 at least .......don't think there's any diference but not sure ........

....Have a rear hugger already on but can't find the old cover flap anywhere ...( old age i think

) ........anyway if anyone has one sitting around and would like to sell it can you let me know ............
Reason for asking is i want to get rid of the hugger and go back to an "open " wheel as with the tail tidy on i think it looks better with out a hugger and the flap does a good job of keeping the rear shock protected ..........
Any ideas where to get one would be a big help ........
Thanks

Had seen that one on the bay ......but is it the same as a later model ........that ones 2001 mine is after 2003 ........imagine there isn't any difference but when i look at aprilia parts (
http://www.apriliaparts.co.uk/?section= ... ddle_aa4a2 ) they have them in two different brackets 1999 - 2001 and 2002 - 2003 .....part numbers differ so think there may be a slight difference but what i wouldn't like to say ........
Thanks for the help though ......

Wasn't aware of a difference but different part numbers does raise a concern - though it could be a minor physical change or a slightly different colour.
I might have a spare one - I'll try to remember to have a look a bit later.

I've had a look - I do have one.
So, when you are in Coventry, we could meet up and confirm it's the right one - that should remove any risk of getting the wrong one (if, indeed, there is a "wrong one")
Cheers

Nice one D and if i ever get the urge to ride all that way i may well take you up on that offer ..........in the mean time think i'll keep trying the flea bay .......

............like i said i only think they're different cause of the difference in aprilia part numbers stating a year ......although god knows how much difference there could possible be ..

Maybe different attachment or something .........
No rush so I'll keep looking as one may turn up at some point ...........as soon as there is i'm selling the Hugger with chain guard .....

LOL - Sorry I had a brain fart - had been responding to Reggie Gasket in one thread - who does travel to Coventry .... and then replied to you.
You don't have to come to Cov for it .... and if I can find the one I took off my bike I can confirm whether the spare one has any significant differences.
BTW do you need a chainguard too - I've a spare one of them as well.
I'll have another look in the garage in the week.

its his age you know,,,,,
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
