Suspension Setup Traing Day - 17th OCTOBER - IT'S ON !!

#1 Post by D-Rider » Tue Oct 06, 2009 2:47 pm

OK - I've just spoken to Griff and the Suspension Setup Training Day is ON !

UPDATE:
Of the 10 that originally expressed interest:
  • 6 are confirmed (Me, Firestarter, HisNibbs, Mangocrazy, Olig7475, fastasfcuk)

4 can't make it (Davshill, Falken, Syltiz and Dalemac).
2 additionals have joined - Woodbutcher & Booshlite

The Details:
Griff finds that the largest workable group size is 8 people .... so for this first event I'm not advertising beyond the Aprilia part of the forum.
I anticipate we'll run another one - timing TBD - so we can cater for those Aprilia folk that miss this first one and let the rest of the Ridersite in on the fun.

So I'm collecting definite names now .... the first 8 will be in (giving priority to those that previously expressed an interest)... I'll keep 2 reserve spots too in case anyone has to drop out.
  • 1) D-Rider (Andy)
    2) Mangocrazy (Graham)
    3) Woodbutcher (Bob)
    4) Fastasfcuk (Ian) {Now with repaired bike!}
    5) HisNibbs (Keith)
    6) Firestarter (Mark)
    7) Olig7475 (Oli)
    8) Booshlite (Paul)

    1st reserve) Woodbutcher's mate
    2nd reserve)

Hi Andy,

Please book me in for this; I'd be very interested in it and the cost is tiny compared to the potential benefit.

Sorry Andy, can't make that date, but will watch out for the next one.
Hope you all get what you want from the day.

Hi Ken
Yes I think you said earlier that was not a good date for you - just how it's worked out this time - it was a good date for Griff and I couldn't do the following 2 Saturdays anyway.
Maybe we can hit a better date for you next time .... I'll do my best.

I'll pencil you in for the moment Ian .... is this the fairing bracket you're sorting out?

Sorry Andy but I'm also unable to make it.
Well not totally sorry, as I am off to Cyprus for two weeks early on Sunday morning, so Saturday will be taken up packing etc..
Hope it goes well as it seems like a good idea.

What time? Surely not at 10am?

Edit - just remembered you're "down south", and it's going back that's the problem

Andy, how long is the session likely to be? Give some of the longer-travelling members an idea of when they might get home

Griff reckoned about 4 hrs - not sure if this includes breaks for food etc.

So I reckon we should be done by 3 ish at the latest (maybe 2->2:30)
Those at a distance can set off home, those more local could maybe enjoy their new settings with a bit of a ride - perhaps.

Dom - is this an early enough finish? ... to save time you could always go to this party dressed as a biker.

Is it ready and just waiting to go in?
If so, it's not a long job - if you don't get to do it before, bring it with you - bet there's a fair chance we can do it there.
