Erm, ah...

You're right. Yes, the Falco has taken a back seat for a quite a while. But the RG500 and ex-Wilco Zeelenberg are pretty much finished, which means I'm going to have some time to lavish on it. It'll have to share that time with another bike, my ZXR750R, but I've got big plans for the SL

Are you talking about my Falco in PB? :smt006

If so, there's going to be some bits coming up this winter involving swingarm, bars, bodywork, racing it etc.

I'm feeling excited about the old gal once again!

Nice to hear from you again Ben!
Even better to hear that you still have the Falco and have more work planned for it, how long have you had it now, must be around nine years at a guess?

Hey Howard,

thanks for the welcome. Had the Falco since March 2000. Sheesh. Looking at the used prices these days it's not worth me selling it! So it's going to have some TLC thrown at it to make it (hopefully) a hill climb contender.

We'll see...

Funny, when you said racing, I never expected "hill climb", although the grunt of the Falco should come in handy!
Many years ago I raced both bikes and cars, (actually mainly rallying in the latter). However I've been up Harewood in a my MkI Escort Twin Cam Rally car and on my old Dunstall Norton 650SS, (I say old it was actually only 2 or 3 years old at the time, so you can guess how long ago!), and I just never got to grips with the bike up there! Escort was fine power sliding through all the tight bends. Laid over the tank of a Norton with clip ons at the bottom just didn't leave me very confident and riding it like that, it was bloody hopeless in the tight bits, was better at Cadwell though!

'ello Ben ..... good to see you're still about (besides the regular doses in PB of updates of non-activity on the Falco LOL)
