Try System Restore, go back to a date before the prob occurred.

If that fails install a new browser (opera, safari, chrome etc.).

If that fails disable all antivirus and firewall progs and give it a quick try but don't stay online more than a few secs.

If that fails it may be viral, download malwarebytes (google it, its free) update and quick scan, remove anything it finds, disable System Restore and then reboot. If good, re-enable System Restore.

If that fails :smt017 :smt017

Here's a suggestion from someone who's not what you could call computer literate in any way, but I found this out by accident!

I was having trouble with my internet being very slow to connect, and download emails etc - then I emptied the virus vault in my AV. Ther were no actual viruses in there, just a load of warnings but still, everything is now much less creaky!

Just a thought.

Its seems strange that this has occured when changing to firefox. It could be a dodgy install with something missing. I use firefox as my main browser, but also use IE, chrome, Safari and Opera (web development) and all access the site ok (appart from my IP problem, but thats not the browsers fault)

Im going to say either a dodgy install of firefox (uninstall, redownload and install again) or some kind of virus. Malwarebytes anti-malware is good at removing malware, Ad-Aware is good at removing adware and an ok free virus scanner is AVG.

Hmm, looked in here thinking it might have been me and it's not.

And I'm still running a coal fired PC at home.

Not heard from Nooj for 10 days.

Has he been on the other place? ... or just thrown his pooter through the window? :smt017

Yes - certainly has posted "over there".

6 posts so far during Sept - the last one was yesterday afternoon.
