Oberon Performance Clutch Cylinder

#1 Post by aspguitars » Mon Aug 24, 2009 7:19 pm

I'm going down to Oberon Performance tomorrow to have a look at these Clutch Cylinders as I only live a short distance from them. They haven't fitted one to a Falco yet, so with a bit of luck I may get a discount.
Will keep you posted.
They are a bit cheaper than the MPL ones and you would probably get them quicker.

Me too, will be very interested in the outcome of your visit and first trial :smt002

Fair bit cheaper than the MPL ones as well, I thought they were about £130?

Hm, nice, the master cyl caps look good for the price too. Have seen some crap looking and more expensive ones on ebay.

Won mine from MPL on ebay for £40 :smt003

Clues:
  • Posted in the Falco forum (though maybe I should move it as it'll fit any of the 1L Aprilia Rotax lumps)
On the Oberon site it appears on the Falco page (as well as all the other Aprilia pages)

I'll not spoil the surprise for you by giving the game away though :smt002

Oberon Clutch Cylinder

#9 Post by aspguitars » Wed Aug 26, 2009 12:51 pm

Hi! again all,
I have now fitted the new Oberon Clutch Cylinder. It is almost identical in appearance to the stock Aprilia one. It's just the internal construction that apparently makes it better. As I have bled the system properly yet or driven it, I can't really comment on its performance. Will get back to you all.
I would like to say that the guys at Oberon were great and couldn't do enough for me.
Will definately be going back, it's like Aladdin's Cave, lots of shiny bits.

Ooooh yes. Just don't tell the wife. She nearly exploded when I accidentally let slip how much the stubby clutch & brake levers were that Falken arranged!

Does the falco sproket cover fit back on or do you need to butcher it or put a Tuono cover like the MPL's

I could be tempted, looking forward to hearing how you get on with it aspguitars.

Oberon Clutch Cylinder

The Oberon Clutch Cylinder fits straight on without any modification to the sprocket cover. That's why I bought it.
