Norfolk 4th-6th September Rollcall.

#1 Post by Samray » Sun Aug 02, 2009 9:08 pm

A month to go and it will be here before we know it.
As usual a list of yays, nays or mays will help with catering plans.

The site here has a barn with kitchen, shower and w.c. along with an open area where most of us crash out but there is plenty of land for tents.
Another view here.

I shall be there from Friday lunchtime and we usually have a good rideout on the Saturday and bbq that evening and leave during Sunday morning.
All are welcome, on any number of wheels, for any part of the w/e, even just the rideout or barbie evening.
Cost for those staying overnight is £6/head.
Food £10 for the w/e. Breakfasts and evening meals. Hot drinks/snacks on tap. Let me know of any special dietary requirements.
Drinks at cost when we see what's required.
Nothing to pay in advance, just pay on the day.
No excuse for non-campers. Lil thief and Travel Lodge are within 3 miles.

We normally manage at least one rideout, usually on the Saturday and the rest of the time seems to fly by with the help of much food, drink and general merriment interspersed with periods of recovery. Some people even sleep occasionally and there is plenty of room for pitching tents although most seem to crash out in the barn.
The Barn has a kitchen, wc and shower. Some accounts of previous Ratatattle Rallies with pics can be found on earlier R-O&E threads.

Well if it's down to Her Maj, get an invite off to her bike-riding grandsons and she'll be bound to let you come.
Maybe next year we can upgrade to Sandringham .... barbecued swan anyone ?

I'm a "probably" (that's for the weekend - not the swan - though I'd probably give that a go too)

... curiousity confounded a kiwi? Am free so chuck me down as probable too :smt026.. know how lively the ARS Falco forum is but rarely forum hop unless I'm searching for something. Would be a hoot to pay homage to some of the luminaries of the site who've held my hand through various trials and tribulations of my first 18 months with the Falco ... :smt038 to be with more than two of the things in the same place holds a definite attraction for me too :smt003

One of my biggest regrets was never making the pilgrimage. :smt010

Considering the few race meets and the one DHR I'd be looking to book some annual for the recovery.

Have a great one, like you need to be told :smt020

am going to try and get along to say hello to folk just for the friday evening - would love to have made a week end of it but apparently a distant friend of my wife's wedding reception is far more important....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
