Who's good for spares?

#1 Post by paganman » Mon Jul 13, 2009 11:21 pm

Hi can anyone recommend a dealer/supplier who can source and ship out quickly. I'm getting a bit tired of the "it's got to come from Italy" excuse! Stuff for my VFR's got to come from Japan and I nearly always get it next day. I know Honda have a massive infrastructure, but I'd expect gaskets to be an off the shelf part. Guess I'm expecting too much, but if I didn't have my Honda I'd be knackered now as bikes are my only mode of transport and 4-5 days for a fuel pump gasket(which is leaking for no reason) is crazy. I thought Aprilia were supposed to have sorted their spares issues?
Got that off my chest, feel better now, still love the bike though. :smt007
1st Italian bike. 1st V-twin, loving it!

I've found InMoto to be good and Speedaway are generally OK.

Worth ringing though as not all dealers will have all parts in stock - most times you can find somewhere that has what you want.

Ive used both the following who now seem to be the same people -

Good experiences from each of them when they ran on their own.
My only problem has been that the Falco has been too reliable, so I have not had an opportunity to use either of them very often.
My old Aprilia dealer (Now defunct) used to use both of them when he needed anything quick!
