Front mudguard...
... it would appear that I've had an impact on one of the "legs" of my front mudguard thingy. I suspect some little person was playing in the garage and hit with something. Ho hum!
The "leg" bit has three largish cracks along around three quarters of it and a big dent where the 'impact was".
My question to you lovely people, is, can it be repaired of do I need a new one. If so how, if so where from?

After I was knocked off my son's 125, I repaired the sidepanel that had broken into half a dozen pieces. I used Isopon P40 Glassfibre filler to bond the back surface and reinforce it.
Guess you may be be able to do similar - though I've not tried on an Aprilia mudguard.
I do have a similar issue myself - a couple of years ago, my mudguard suffered "pigeon strike" which cracked it (Woodbutcher was following me at the time and told me that the pigeon exploded quite spectacularly).
I will have a go at fixing that up but I've just fitted a brand new Carbon Fibre item that I won on ebay for £44 (plus £6.15 delivery)
It is for a 2004 Mille. The mounting points are not perfectly placed but are so close it fits with very little effort.

When you say "very little effort" what do you mean by that? - 1) Undo the 4 allen headed bolts that hold the mudguard to the forks.
2) Remove the mudguard
3) Push into place the sparkly new CF item
4) Bolt up the 2 front allen bolts
5) Notice the rear 2 mountings need pulling a little to line up with the rear mounting points.
6) Pull them a little
7) Bolt them up.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Just had a look on the RSVR.net website, the one listed for the Falco is the same part number as the 04 RSVR - in fact, for pretty much any model with non-radial brakes. I'm guessing that Andy's experience of the bolt holes not lining up quite precisely is probably just the normal aftermarket parts not being quite an exact copy, rather than it being for a different model?

That's interesting - it's certainly a different shape to the Falco guard I took off - I also had to pull the rear fixing "struts" outwards to fit over the mounting points.
