Rode to work today

#1 Post by DavShill » Thu Jun 25, 2009 12:04 pm

Rode the bike to work today. I'm not a regular bike commuter cos my job takes me out and about. Arrived at work very relaxed. I know we riders concentrate more than most but it absolutely stopped me thinking about work and churning issues over in my mind (mum's really poorly in a long battle with cancer).

My point is I didn't realise how much stuff you process when driving the car - when your not actually focusing on your driving.

That's it really - must do it more often - leaving early and heading for the hills/coast later :smt006

Very succinctly put.

I also think lowering speed limits means the driver's mind will wander more.
Is that safer? :smt009

Sorry about your Mum. :smt012

That ride home from work on the bike can completely change one's perspective and that's not a bad thing.....
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today
