05 Falco for sale - SOLD

#1 Post by dooney » Sun Jun 07, 2009 5:09 pm

I got myself a Tuono Racing last Autumn and an extension on the house means I can't afford to keep two bikes. It's a close run thing but having had the Tuono for less time it's the Falco that's going to have to go.

I've put the bike up on the MCN website but here are the details:

APRILIA SL1000 FALCO, 2005/55, 8690 miles

Very good condition, FSH, Mot Sep 22, 3 months Tax. Bronze/Black, one owner before me. Rear tyre only just scrubbed in, front about 1000 miles old. Bike totally standard (optional GXR sidestand). Aprilia luggage racks and soft panniers. Datatool System 3. All documents back to original invoice. Spare key and alarm fob. Seat hump and pillion seat. Home extension means I can't afford two bikes and I've had this one longer than the Tuono. Garaged.

£2800, Epsom, 01372 811510 or 07967279053

Not in the market but that is a very cheap bike.

Good luck with the sale, sounds a lovely bike. :smt001

Barely run in too ....

Anyway, sad that the Falco is going, but at least you still have the 2-oh-no.
:smt003

Stick around on the Forum - we do seem to have a growing number of Aprilias that aren't Falcos .... plus all sorts of other things.

Thanks for the advice on price, guys. I checked Parkers and other ads and have deliberately pitched it to sell. You have strengthened my resolve not to take offers, though. Hopefully if I can sell via this site I can make sure it goes to a good home and someone who knows what a special bike this is.

Well if I had the dosh I'd sure give it a good home - rediculous price for such an awesome bike :smt002
One day I'll get me one of these Falco''s. Now, if I can only work out how to get a pay rise.......................

I sold the bike to the first bloke who saw it. A bit emotional to see it go. I can't help thinking I'll come back to a Falco in a few years but it was only my second bike and I want to 'play the field' before I settle down for life... Problem is the only other bikes I fancy are 'Prilas but if they keep coming up with stuff like the RSV4 then who can blame me.

Thanks again for positive comments on my Falco. I hope I have not stitched other owners up by pitching the price too low but it's obvious that there are a lot of keen buyers out there.

Oh yeah, if there are any buyers out there looking to use mine to bargain a seller down, I did not drop my price or throw in any sweeteners at all.
