They're not Road Attacks - different tread pattern to mine.
Don't worry about those cans come MOT time - they don't say "Not for road use" and I've breezed through 2 MOTs with mine on. They are not 'aftermarket' either - they are Aprilia cans, so no real need to declare on insurance - I haven't.
Those passenger footpegs are indeed rare as the proverbial rocking horse shit, I've been trying to source some for 2 years. I gave up and bought SL Carbon cans instead!!
I didn't recommend that one earlier in this thread because I think his BIN price is very high for a bike with gravel rash, relatively high mileage and let's face it, it's 8 years old.

Hello All
Due to a ridiculously busy w/end I didn't get to see the one on Ebay, he didn't sell it so hopefully I'll get to check it out this week but the lack of rear footpegs and the 'as rare as hens teeth' replacement issue is putting me off.
There is this one on MCN, although older and higher mileage than what I'm after it seems very reasonably priced and I would be able to affford to add a new shock, clip ons, sprockets for commuting in traffic etc.
What do you guys reckon?

I wouldn't worry about 15k on a 2001 bike. If it had any less I'd think it would be siezed solid by now.......
I have same pipes and they are a bit anti social though...if that worries you. Mind you I think you could trade them and the associated chip with someone.

Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today
Hello all
Saw the ebay bike today. Bike was ok in my opinion, I only got to ride it round a car park though so not exactly a great test.
Positives - I like the look of the Falco, I found the riding position comfortable (thought it would be more racy).
Negatives - too bloody loud with those cans! It was setting off car alarms, gut feeling wasn't great on this particular one, seemed a little rough
He has only set the reserve at £2150 though so it is cheap but I think I'll leave it.
The one on MCN for 2k was sold weeks ago unfortunately. So I'm going to see this one on Sunday. Already spoken to the owner and he has already done the sprocket mod has mentioned on here, no uprated shock though and it is yellow which is not my favourite colour but I'll see what it's like in the flesh. I'm not going above £2k though

On my 1st look I noticed the different front indicators and clutch lever. can't see the rear indicators and the mid panel looks a bit too shiny (should be matt on the yellow ones IIRC).
I'd be looking closely for fall damage on the left side, make sure the screen and fairing line up well (fairing stay straight). Although indicator mods are common, I'd be suspicious of new levers without hose changes.
It's still got the original stand, and there's a scottoiler.
So some good bits and some potential bad bits.
I've no issue with the colour, but if you have just remember that you'll see it every ride before you get on. If you hate the colour you'll never be completely happy with it. Sounds a bit girlie, but it's true.
Good luck

that is a really kind offer, thankyou.
I'm in East London. The yellow one is in a village near Northampton and I'm going there on Sunday.
I would obviously pay you your fuel and time.
The one at Shorrocks is a little far though, I wouldn't want you to travel to Preston!!
I think I should go on my tod on Sunday see what I feel and then I would plan on seeing it a 2nd time anyway so perhaps then if you didn't mind travelling to Northampton. Bit of a schlep from Suffolk though

Northampton ..... isn't that Yellowduck territory?
He knows all about yellow ones
BTW are you sure you can handle the endless piss taking if you do buy a leper bike (sorry - I mean a Yellow one)?
