My last bike was a VFR. Good workhorse and ultra-reliable (well mine was) but the grin factor of the Falco and its rarity value (except on here of course) mean it was ano-brainer for me.
Had mine for a year now and glad I made the change. It does everything you would want a bike to do and it is not a run of the mill bike.
We are all going to be biased on here to a degree but I think we can still give an object view. They're bloody brilliant.
Go for it.

cheers guys
twinNUT - I would be interested in your luggage but I don't want to muck you about. I have decided to get a Falco but am waiting on a loan approval. I have picked 2 examples to look at as a potential purchase but it will be at least 2 weeks before I'm the owner. In all honesty I expect I willl be spending my first bit of money on a shock mod and raising the handlebars. Luggage will be after that.
It would be handy to know what you want for it all though and to know what it's performance was like - i.e did it leak, make the bike fell unbalanced at all etc.
You can email me on simon_foley@hotmail.com if you like.

If it's not already been done, a 15 tooth front sprocket is an excellent early mod to do. Makes town work and other slow speed stuff much much easier. Costs peanuts as well.

I've done 4 euro trips with my Falco luggage plus loads of weekends in the UK, in all sorts of weather, and they are superb.
Not waterproof on their own, but fine with the included covers even in the absolutly pissing down rain on the autobahn. But I still bin bag everything just in case.
They don't upset the handling at all, even at silly speeds.
They don't stick out too far so filtering is no problem. My mates say they can't see them in their mirrors when I'm behind them. But I've never used them expanded.
The tank bag is big enough for a long weekend, but is a bit too tall when I fully expand it, so I don't.
So, err, I like em

I'm going to view this later today.
I think is BIN price is way over the top though in comparison to what else is around
Any tips of what I should look out for when looking/riding/listening?

first off i reckon the owner knows his aprilias - the work he has had done is the good stuff - ohlins etc
the exhausts have been done properly - the rear foot rests can be difficult to source.... but do take the regular cans as well for mot's!
the tank bag is useful - as is the luggage - personally i do not like the oxford bags but many do, and they work - so extras for nothing if that makes sense
belly pan is a skidmarks one
mirror is easy to sort/source - rhs mid panel is likely to need painting..... they can be quite rare to find!
it does have the rear seat and cowl :)
look like road attack tyres?
price wise... well - i would also be tempted to say 2900 is too high BUT i think 2500 may well be fair - indeed if push comes to shove and it feels right i would probably go as far as 2750.....
enjoy looking at it....
(Oh - take your helmet and leathers etc - just in case!)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

no
some of us have declared everything that we have done to our insurance companies - even with the few small changes i have done my insurance is still a reasonable 180 quid a year fully comp (I have points and <3 years ncb)
for cans like that, then declare them to your insurance company - as in they were on the bike when i got it - i doubt they will load your premium
(I would also declare the ohlins shock - they will not load you for it but makes a difference to value of the bike)
