I'm probably the oldest old git on the site!
I have suffered with arthrytis in my knees, back, hands/wrists, shoulders and hips for years. (legacy of lots of athletics and football years ago).
My Falco is standard as far as bars and pegs go, and I have no problems at all!
It might be a bit worse if I rode it in town a lot, but I don't.
Fact is, I usually find getting out regularly on the falco for 2 or 3 hours takes the pains away!
So my advice is just bloody ride it as often as you can! :smt002

yep - thats right

you do need to adjust the brake reservoir - remove the metal part of the mounting bracket and mount direct - then you will clear the fairing

makes a lot of difference

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I found it necessary to release the brake hose junction from it's clamp on the bottom yoke. I still use the OEM hoses and have popped a zip tie or 2 round them to keep them in place. You'll see what I mean when you reposition the bars.

Helibars will go on without extending any cables and put the bars an inch or so higher and further back - put them on due to dodgy wrists after an accident but have left them on as they do make it more comfy. Cost about £200 and go on easily enough.

I'd also support core stability exercise as a way of avoiding back troubles on a bike - very popular with racers. On a practical level you can sign up for Pilates classes and get the added benefit of lots of women in leotards!

Helibars look to be around 250 pounds now and according to the site they are 2" taller, 3/4" rearward, 2" wider.

Dunno if the extra 2" would be good for filtering...

i think that is the maximum they will do - but would need longer cables etc

and sorry, I forgot i have two braided hoses not the stock items!
