I guess it wont be the only one. Look at this forum - maybe half a dozen posts a day. You cant get much income to cover operating costs from that sort of activity. So it becomes a labour of love for as long as someone will subsidise it.
Problem with the www is that we've all got used to everything near enough being free.

Do you mean the General Chat forum, or the site as a whole? I see 30+ posts a day, and often a hell of a lot more!
