I haven't ridden a bike since October 4th when the Triumph was sold, the Falco is sorned atm and will be until the end of the month, but its my sons bike and I just get the use of it.
I'll not be buying a bike this year.

The roads look clear and I've shovelled a passage through the snow between my garage and the road so it look like I'll be back at work tomorrow unfortunately. It'll be on the fazer, NOT the Falco!

I was kitted up and ready to lose some cobwebs (on my not-a-falco) on Sunday.
Unfortunately the choke, which I never normally need to use, wouldn't budge.
Still not had a chance to check if the cable was frozen solid or rusted up.

Rode to work on the Falco this morning. The bike fired up first go and the ride was a pleasure. Except for one thing. I wore my new leathers but did not bother to put the liners in. Thanks to the elasticated inserts at the crutch and the many ventilating perforations in the leather - also around the crutch area - my genitals were aching and had shrivelled to the size of a shrews by the time I got here.
Moral to the story; Liners are provided for a purpose, zip them in..

... 3 days before the big snow last week the recalcitrant cow sat at school for ten hours and refused to start after a week of possitive, chilly 5.30am starts and a week of optimism following a starter relay transplant. Since then idiosynchratic, age/mileage related gremlins have prevented me from getting my leg over: rear brakelight switch and leaky oil pressure sensor. Should have the thing back tomorrow

Woo Hoo, 1st ride yesterday since October
Only up to the Ponderosa for a coffee. switch bike off. Helmet off. reach in pocket for wallet. No key fob. Oh Shite. Not in any pockets. Quickly turn bike on again but too late, immobiliser kicked in. Aaaarrrggghhhhhhhh.
Had to take my mates Triumph ST home and back again to retrieve the key fob sitting on the stairs where I left it. Oh well, least I got a longer ride.

Does 2 hours with the chainsaw count...? Ahh the smell of a two stroke. Anyone tried Castrol R in a chainsaw?
