Another one going...Gone!

#1 Post by Kenif » Sat Jan 24, 2009 6:48 pm

Yep, another Falco owner is shortly leaving the world's most (increasingly) exclusive club :smt010

As in other posts, money is gonna be a bit tight for a while so am trying to get the enthusiasm to write up the ad for the Falco.

Have put the main details below and a link to some pics

2005 (05 plate), 8100 miles, HPI clear, One former owner

MOT 12/2009, Tax 12/2009

Owners manual and Workshop manual

Spare key, Tool kit, Seat hump and pillion seat

New tyres (Diablo rear, Diablo Corsa front)

Blue Flame Carbon exhausts (originals included)

Power Commander III, R&G crash bungs

Scottoiler, Heated grips, Datatag

Mille shock (recently refurbished)

Baglux tank cover (black)

Bad bits

Scrape on right side exhaust (bit of an off when they were on my previous Falco)

Would like to get £25,000 for it

Probably not gonna happen so offers in the region of £3,500 are more likely :smt003

So, if you know anyone on the look out, give me a yell on

07837 437 848 or kendrapes @yahoo.co.uk

Oh, based in SE London!

For those following the action, it didn't meet the reserve on Ebay but have had a chat with one the bidders and he's cool to pay the reserve and will pick up on saturday (snow/flood levels permitting).

So, another Falconeer coming your way! :smt004

Er, is it ok if I still lurk? I mean, I've still got an Aprilia, even if it is one of the less exclusive ones...

Please don't send me off to the 'empty' forum! :smt022

What is it with all the falconeers selling up? Are you all getting death threats from upstaged Ducati owners or something?

Yep, mixed news - it's sold ... but you still have an Aprilia .... and if you do your job right, we'll have a new forum member.

Yeah - you can still browse the Falco forum as well as the Mille zone ... we'll enjoy pointing out what you're missing :smt002

Cheers

Hmmm, thanks (I think)

Don't worry, have already pointed him this way as THE definitive place to get help on Falco love!

Having said that, the bike's had the rear shock, the sidestand, exhausts, air filter and power commander done. It has heated grips, optimate connector, new tyres and tank cover. I hate to say it, but this might be a bit of a challenge for you guys on the 'Get your credit card out' front? :smt003

nope

i know that d rider has some mille panels - as indeed do i

nooj got some new hacksaws for xmas - so we can assume he is plotting

i have just finished making a mounting bracket for my headset

you did not mention any integrated mirrors / indicators

you did not mentionLEd's or tail tidy

so..... we look forward to plucking a new chicken :)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Mille swinger, Ohlins front end, Oz wheels, scottoiler, 2into1 exhaust, HID dip beam + dip beam wiring mod, Head up display .... then he could move on to some of the bits I've not got hold of yet but are on the list - like 4-pad callipers, rear view camera, carbon bits and bobs .....

Sorry .... did someone say it might be a challenge ....

Look, you haven't even met the challenge with some of us already on the forum. My Falco, for example is just about as stock as a 2001 bike can be. I even put the stock cans back on!

Nah - all part of the plan. We need a handful in standard trim as a reference and also act as a control group with which to assess the changes the rest of us have made.

I too have all the original stuff ready to go back on should these things ever reach classic status and the original condition be highly prized ..... and I'm not wearing those bits out ....
