Have to agreee with Islefalco on the build quality on the early Hinckley triumphs own a 96 Super 111 and a 92 daytona 1000.Ride magazine recently tested the quality of finish on the manufacturers and triumph came out on top

I would agree that any bike can be made to be interesting. For a short while I rode my wife's CG125 to work - all on backroads. The trick with that bike was to get it to 50 or so mph and keep it there around as many corners as possible. That was usually a very interesting 5 mile commute...

Yes, that brought back memories. In my yoof I had an NSU Quickly moped. Anything less than flat out/WOT everywhere and you were officially a wuss...

Guy I used to work with had one in his yoof as well, so you weren't alone!

What have I started... :smt003

I think I agree which much that's been said, I'm looking for a Falco because they sound like bags of fun, but also seem to have a reputation for the great build that I'm used to. As for the CB, it seems to have many fiercely loyal supporters, very accessible bike with piles of torque, and looks pretty imposing next to most bikes on the road. I've been very impressed with it, just looking for a change.

sidestand - love the Falco in that colour, looks fabulous. I'm also a fan of the deep red ones.

I will come back with more pics. Apologies if it takes a little while, I'm not time wasting, just have a new little baby and we still appear to be having snow falling outside. I guess realistically it might be a few weeks before I'm in a position to do a trade, wasn't sure if it would take a while to get any interest at this time of year!

Cheers, Sam

Hi Sam, I'm sure you've come to the right place, and I'm equally sure you've settled on the right bike. I only bought my Falco in August and already large chunks of this coming year are being planned around Falco-related activities, including a raid on the South of France.

I spent a lot of time on here before I actually got a Falco (lurking, it has to be said) and that in itself convinced me I was looking down the right avenue. Mine's one of the deep red/anthracite ones and it was the appearance of the bike that first grabbed me. I remember reading about the Falco around 1999/2000 and thinking that it sounded right up my street. But it's taken me this long to finally get round to putting my money where my mouth is...

I wouldn't bother to move this thread now, it's filling up with Falco chatter and bollocks quick enough.

Buying a Falco; not ony will you be buying one of the best bikes ever made, you'll be joining some of the best forums ever formed.
