Groovy, thanks for that! 400Euros a week sounds like a good price and the region sounds very interesting. We both like big thunderstorms so wouldn't be adverse to a few days of that. Doesn't have to be a mansion with a pool, as long as it's not a derelict flea-pit
We won't be able to afford to do a MotoGP this year, but have no objections to a few other Falco types who want to see it dossing over. Up to the place's owner how many people invade really I suppose!

Hi Peter have a 3 bedroom with pool 30mins from Narbonne 800euro for 2 weeks in june if interested email me many thanks Noel
no links yet I'm afraid...
or
If Béziers is not too far away, I may have something for you. again no links yet
or
Please find a link to www.villalaffon.co.uk which is a villa that we manage. As at this morning it was still available early June. We know the area quite well so if it is not what your friends are looking for please contact us and we could perhaps somewhere else in the area.
Regards
Steve and Sue
Many of these places have three or four bedrooms, so you could just get a gang of you and split the cost. There are a number of chalet/campsites just down the coast towards Perpignan. I'll take a look over there soon and let you know. I must admit though, the place on the Canal du Midi looks good at £200/week.

Excellente, Ambassador! Had a meeting with the holiday commity and we think we could stretch to a small villa for about 800 Euros for a fortnight. Dates are flexible, but the first two complete weeks in June would be ideal, though any time out of season would be good, just to avoid 'orrible English tourists (Ross Biff!).

OK in an attempt to get a better picture of when people want to go (Pete having already booked time at the end of June and Nooj seeming set on the beginning), I thought I'd start a poll to try to sort the wood from the trees.
The poll can be found here:
https://www.ridersite.com/viewtopic.php?t=4204
If you are thinking of going, please vote.

When you have sorted dates out, I'll try to look at any interesting events in the area so I can post some ideas (such as the water jousting in Sete) which may fit in. If that helps?

I saw that on the Herault in Agde a couple of years back - a good laugh...

In fact, I think I saw this at the end of June, so it may well coincide with the 'invasion'...

Aparently they run it for the month preceding Bastille day when they have the grande finale.

Any advance on the links yet? Reckon we'll need to book soon or they'll all be gone

Try this property...
Dear Peter,
We have a 2 bedroom property which is near the beach and in a lovely area outside Beziers. Portiragnes Plage is 10 minutes from Beziers Vias airport. The villa is in Portiragnes Plage and is a minute walk to the beach. There are lots of wonderful walks nearby and you are very close to the Canal du Midi which has shade and a footpath all the way to Beziers and beyond.
The villa is comfortable and not difficult to maintain. There is a small terrace (facing open fields with view of the mountains in the distance) and no garden to maintain.
Please have a look at our website www.villainthelanguedoc.com for more details. I hope the website link works-there have been a few problems lately with the hosting and I am trying to sort it out. If it comes up with what looks like a commercial website selling beers, wines etc, just let me know as I am speaking with our web host.
Please do let me know if you need more info or send me a message and we can talk offline.
Thanks
Sam

Thanks for that. The first link is indeed knackered. Second one looks good, but is only a three bedroom, no good if loads of people are wanting to stay over. Would suit any day trippers who wanted to pay a visit though.
