Anyone else notice in this weeks MCN that aprilia is suggesting that there will be 1200 sports touring versions of the Mana and Shiver and most tantalising of all a possible sports tourer using the V4 engine, could this be the future of the Falco spirit? Hoping these models aren't just hype and ride as well as the concepts sounds.

I do like that V4
BUT
a 1200 falco...... gibbers quietly
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I don't like the V-4 concept

why because I like twins they have a character all of their own and are simple beasts V-4 may have more power but how much can you use on the road most riders can't Handel 120 hp never mind more, sorry just got back from the pub......

Always expect the unexpected

I think I'll stick with the Falco as it is.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

In my fantasy world, I'll keep the Falco, certainly add the V4 and maybe add an I4 or two .... maybe an MV and a Blade. Oh might add the KTM RC8 too ...
Regrettably reality calls ......

If you remember they did say last year that there would ultimately be a 1200 half faired version of the Shiver, so let's wait and see.

1200 Shiver and Dorsodura have been talked about for a while now.
I bet you a bacon sandwich that the 1200 Shiver will be launched the same week as I finally finish tinkering with my Falco and get it exactly as I want it, and that the Shiver will come straight out and tick all the right boxes in an instant, thus causing me no end of umming and aahing and difficult decision making.
Gits!
