For Sale: Mille/Falco front mudguard

Bought a Mille front mudguard on ebay for my 2002 falco hoping that it was a colour match.

Unfortunately, seller was unable to tell me year of bike and did not answer my questions regarding paint condition. I bought it anyway. It is absolutely sound with no cracks or deep scratches. It has been painted in past so not an original colour match, I dont think. Ideally suited to someone who plans to paint it.
I paid £35 inc p+p...looking for £30 inc p+p
Im going to stick with my carbon fibre one for a couple of months then buy a new one ££££££££ from Mr/Mrs Aprilia

Yeah - but as his designated mudguard tester, you actually need to post it to me.

Woodbutcher will confirm that he witnessed the pigeon impact test on the mudguard I have at the moment. The mudguard is cracked but the pigeon exploded into a million pieces (approximately) and a cloud of feathers.

I got a pigeon a few weeks ago, it hit the front edge of the lower fairing and filled the radiator with goo, surpsisingly no damage (to the bike!) considering I hit it at about 70.

of course us posh folks surrounded by estates get poxy pheasants - i have not yet hit one on a bike, but i did write the wind off a cavalier in my youth - 3lb of pheasant at 70 mph makes a hell of a hole!

and nice try andy - but surely you know that CF would just look wrong on your rusty one?

I seem to be dodging squirrels a lot at the moment

Not hit one yet but it's only a matter of time, especially as I think it's probably safer not to try and brake or swerve but just keep going and see what happens.

I don't dislike the little creatures but draw the line at sliding down the road on a thin slick of squirrel goo in order to try to save the silly things.

Ive been lucky enough to avoid creatures on the road

.....until wednesday......on my way to work doing 40 suddenly a squirrel shot off the long grassy verge, straight under my front wheel. In a milisecond it went up under the rear I glanced back only to see a squirrel head bouncing down the road like a golf ball

got to work and expected to be pulling guts out of my chain and sprocket, nothing, clean as a whistle. Looks like the little guy will be hibernating extra long this winter

One of the funniest thigs I've seen recently on the road involved a dead squirrel. This squirrel had not just been run over, but pancaked - all except for its tail. Consequently whenever a vehicle went past the the bushy tail would get caught by the wind and wave around in a very 'live' manner for a few seconds.

Gave me (and my wife) a good laugh. Not so sure how the squirrel felt about it, though (the little attention-seeker)...

I nearly hit a seagull yesterday...On a bridge over docks, doing max allowed speed (of course). The gull hit the wind and could not pick up the speed/altitude, sort of got stuck in the air with a crazy biker's head charging towards it...I can only wonder what was going through it's brain

I managed to tuck to the tank and went just underneath... All in slow motion. It was so cool to see this bird still in the air! Matrix-like moment.

Once took a thrush or female blackbird on the left shoulder at around 80 plus, I ducked but it was coming down towards me so could not avoid, just saw the thing bounce off me and over a hedge into a field, had a sore shoulder for a while. Worst thing where I ride are pheasants, I know they apparently have very small brains for there size, (perhaps related to politicans), but they never do what you expect. Often see them at the side of the road, where they look up see you coming then step out right in front, or take flight (slowly) straight in front. Scary as you really don't want to hit anything that size. Have just missed a dozen or so over the years.
See a few squirrels as well but they usually act in a more natural way, (i.e. get the feck out of the way!).

Dont fancy hiting a seagull or a pheasant. I think the squirell thought it could beat me, probably not used tho dicing the Falco
