I only got titanium caliper bolts in the first place as the bike decided to eject one of the stock bolts a couple of years ago.

Trundling along yesterday leading a rideout and what happens? Horrible noise from the brakes and lots of clonking from the front end, pull over and find a nice shiney expensive titanium caliper bolt is missing.

Apparently it sent up a few sparks as it bounced down the road, one of my mates saw it but thought it was a bit of flint I'd flung up from the road.

Luckilly we were just coming into Romsey, so managed to do a quick detour to Riders in North Badersley. They didn't have any caliper bolts in stock, but managed to produce a manky old bolt from somewhere with the right thread, so thanks to them the rideout continued. Good work, guys

Now I've got to try and find somewhere that will sell me one titanium bolt to match the remaining three, although I'm thinking maybe it would be a good idea to get some spares in

Definately a combination of torquewrench and threadlock.
Use copious amounts of both next time..

I 'aquired' a small amount of threadlock a while ago from somewhere I used to work, we used it on external submarine parts, so that should keep the bolts in place well enough.

Oh if only............ I've been working like a 20 year old (not todays product I'd add) sadly and I'm 54.
