Hi Mango and welcome.
Put a GSXR on my Falco a few months ago, think it was off a G6 model 1000.
Just needed drilling out and fitting, although the cut out peg on my bike is broken, it still works with just the pressure of the bolt holding it in place.
If you want to come over and have a look i'm Sheffield side of Chesterfield, not far from rugby club.
Drop me a PM if your interested.
Adventure before Dementia.

Hi Falken,
Once I've got the bike I'll definitely take you up on that. Thanks for the offer!

welcome
both vtr and gixxer stands have their fans
I think that the vtr one is easier to fit, but I am biased :)
Am seriously thinking of chatting with my welding friend and maybe butchering the original one :)
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hi
Well I have bought another Falco after having a blade for a couple of years
I wrote the blade off which I never really got on with as missed having a V twin so I am more than happy to get another Falco
Cannot wait to pick it up next Sunday they must be one of the most underrated bikes ever as they are superb machines
Hope to speak soon Andy

Hello Andy and Welcome...back

We need more info; colour, mods, credit card details to help purchase more bling, pictures are good.
We've had heaps of newbies lately.
I'd be interested to know how they found us.

Hi Andy and welcome.
Good to get someone returning to a Falco .... and another Andy is always good to add a bit of confusion around the forum.
Same questions as Kiwi.
Cheers,
Andy

Back to the Technoflex question from Mango.
Ben Wilkins from Ride Magazine, (and member on this site!), has had his Falco more than 8 years, and has run a Technoflex rear shock for much of that time. He seems to rate it highly, and with his bike testing experience, he should know. So it looks like a good choice, let us know what you think.

Right Lads its a 2001 in RED.
Its completely standard but I will try and buy a tail tidy asap(any help there as cannot remember where purchased)I had Blue flames on my other Falco and they sounded awesome so may go the same way!
as for finding this site a was reviewing the falco on MCNs website and someone mentioned it in there report.
I have just got to convince the wife about how good this bike is as she also rides but hates big twins(she loved the blade)
Speak soon

Hi Howard, thanks very much for that. I've heard good things about Technoflex, so it's good to have it substantiated. It's probably going to be autumn before I can afford/justify the shock. I'll have to ride it for a while with the standard shock on before I can sneak that one past the accountant...
Perhaps I should deliberately mess up the ride comfort so that she encourages me to change it. I feel a plan forming here...
