Newbie Here

#1 Post by bluedimension » Sun Jul 13, 2008 10:55 am

Morning folks,
just introducing myself whilst watching the 250cc GP.

I am the proud owner of an '03 Falco (Blue) with 16,500 miles on the clock. Blue flame cans, PC111, Penske rear shock, K&N and velocity stacks and now a Firestorm stand.

Looking forward to learning lots of info' and having some good chat.

Blue.

Welcome! :smt006 Am relative newbie here too. It's a fantastic 'community' and I'm sure you'll find lots of interesting stuff. Look out for the ongoing tongue-in-cheek debate about the fastest/sexiest/best colour - I'm glad to have another brother on a blue Falco :smt003 . Please post a pic when you get a chance.

By the way, I'm in your neighbourhood so to speak. Falco's are relatively rare - PM me if you fancy a coffee and a chat up at High Beech or something some time.

Sounds like you've got the essential mods covered already, all that's left to do is add bling :smt003

blue! the best colour imo, but then I'm biased.

Welcome aboard old son. Hide your amex card and don't look at anu of Nooj's posts they are both expensive and addictive.

Sure you'll find lots of good advice here, but it always comes at a cost.

Ask me how I know!

Hello Blue and welcome, newbie myself and learning from the old boys on here who are very helpful if a little cheeky with it.

Enjoy your Falco I think they're a great machine especially the red and black ones which have been proved to be both the fastest and best looking of the whole Aprilia range, fact.

cheeky??

and then you give false information re the fastest colour!

black is proven faster - larger snorkels for a start, let alone the pure blingness that we have inherently....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Always good to hear from the Falco submarine division ......

(anyway the bronze ones have more black on them than those ones you laughingly call "black" - with their shiny bling silver frames).

the silver is merely there to emphasise just how black our faster falcos are

its like a black, with a hint of black, with black low light effects.... a bit disaster area I think....

Pete, you can try all you like - but there's no getting away from the fact that the black ones aren't !

Welcome to the site mate. :smt006

It's a great bike, whatever colour you have!
Seems you've done a bit of work already, or did you buy it this way?

Howard,
the cans and PC111 etc ... were already done when I purchased her.

The nightmare stories about the stock stand meant I quickly acquired a Firestorm replacement; so that is all I have done thus far.

Plenty of time, if not money, to make some more changes.

Cheers,

Blue.
