Well, as part of my week of modding (I have the week off - hooray), my 2-1 high level exhaust should be going on ... and I'm reasonably confident that I'll be able to mount my panniers with it in situ ..... and if I can't I've also got a standard mount link pipe to use in such situations.
Maybe not so different Pete except I'll only be lugging a single can around.

but, time to put you out of your misery
i have been looking at high exhausts and that got me thinking - i like the idea and look, but they are not practical for carrying a pillion and luggage
SO
I got creative and realised that I have a perfectly good set of blue flame end cans
and I worked out how I can suspend them safely
so, on monday I am off to meet a chap who, hopefully, will be making me some pipes to go from the existing down pipes, up to mount the exhausts under the seat/saddle
I think that this will cost around 50 quid all in
so, when going touring etc I can use the cans as normal, for normal blatting around, I put the high pipes on
I really am surprised no one else has done this... but, I reckoned it worth a punt
like this?

or do you mean underseats proper?
Renegade have been doing hilevels for Falcos for years but underseats.. the linkpipes are a nightmare
Are you on about doing away with the collector box?

Aye, I know rene and a few other companies have been doing them, but I am a very careful red sea pedestrian
a rene system is a lot of cash, and not the kind of cash I have spare
But I do like the look of it
I looked at the rene system very closely and noticed a few things about it.
The rene collector box was, if i have got this right, put in the system to avoid the use of a power commander- with one, it should not be necessary I hope
basically I am going to get a set of link pipes made that will turn my standard cans into high levels

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
Renegade headers do have a kind of collector box, at least mine do. It's just a simple bit of welding where the headers meet rather than the 'colon' of the stock system.

'kin 'ell no wonder you wan't to mount the indicators as flush as possible stop them getting ripped off.
