Does anyone know what's happened to Keith?
I've just realised that we heard nothing from Keith during the discussions of our move over here .... and he doesn't seem to have registered.
Does anyone know why?

It's not just Keith !!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not just Keith, we seem to have lost dozens of active members completely and many others seem to be registered but gone totally quiet.
First of all the ones registered who have made no posts -
Danowat, DolyP, Magic, TimB, Gazuk, Gazman, Patriotblue, Sherlock, Anthrax336, amos, mgoode180566, WhiteRhino, johndo,
Hansie, john1, brianr.
Some of these like Dano used to post every night!
Then the second list who have not registered -
NiallSL, Torn, crosstowntraffic, GregD-UK, spew, Morph, Trev, abikebloke, darkmunk, BrianR, PBFalco, dixie, Humpermanuk, DrJonno, FerkinFalco,
beckh, John100, NeilSilicon, phones, FalcoJock2, eddie, Lost_viking, Loui, etc. etc. all posted in the last three months on the old site but are not registered.
And finally we were getting new people every few days before the move, after MCN article etc., its much quieter now!
And last but certainly not least benwah.
Is it because we never posted a BIG "WE HAVE MOVED" notice.
We can't afford to lose all these people.

I have seen Torn posting, but I agree a large number seem to have fallen by the wayside, I quite miss the old Benny Hill sentiment incorporated withing Lorenzo90's postings, hopefully he will re-appear following the Ally PAlly and Excel shows with a myriad obeutys snapped on his arm.
Is there a way for the mods to email a link for our new home to thier email addresses that were registed on the ARS?

I think Lorenz as run off with a 6ft 18 year old Italian he met in MilanStokesy wrote:I have seen Torn posting, but I agree a large number seem to have fallen by the wayside, I quite miss the old Benny Hill sentiment incorporated withing Lorenzo90's postings, hopefully he will re-appear following the Ally PAlly and Excel shows with a myriad obeutys snapped on his arm.

They call it mellow yellow.
I guess any of us can send an e-mail to those that made their addresses public on the old forum but it will require one of the mods for that forum to be able to see the addresses of those that didn't.
I was thinking Dazbike was the man for the job ... but even he hasn't posted here for more than a fortnight.
Given the overwhelming vote to move across I'm a bit surprised that so many seem to have gone AWOL.
I guess the text on the headers of the old site that tell people how to find our new home are not as prominent as they could be. KWACKERZ could that be beefed-up a bit so that any visitors can't miss the directions to get here?
However that doesn't explain the lack of posting by those that do know where we are. Of course, posting is not compulsory but if there is a common reason why, it would be good to know so that we can see what can be done.
If anyone has an issue themselves, please feel free to PM me - or indeed, if you think you know what the problem may be for others then also PM me.
I can't guarantee solving things but if I know what the issues are, I can try. (I dare say the same goes for F9)

Cant beef that particular text up. I did make it pretty impossible for anyone to miss the move. Everywhere is locked but one place, however there's big signs everywhere.
I do have 'the email list' via the admin access to the old forum so a list could be given to me and I could email those people personally. (No HUGE lists!)
'Aprilia RiderSite has moved! All the lads are waiting for you to join them over at www.ridersite.com (etc, etc, etc) as you are being missed!!'
Thanks for your time!

Summat like that maybe..Hopefully Hammy will be redirecting the URL across to the Aprilia RiderSite here soon.
Yes, redirecting the URL will get people here. When they "land" will they arrive in the ARS section - so that things look a little familiar? Is there any way that thay could arrive at a page that tells them what's happened and that all they need to do is re-register and it's business as usual ?
I think it would be good to drop a mail to our more regular members that don't seem to have made it. Your draft looks good - probably worth mentioning to them that they will need to register when they arrive and then business as usual ...
Perhaps people could post up the names of any we wish to contact in this thread ... bearing in mind Kwackerz plea to keep the list as short as possible.
Please check the members list on this site to be certain they haven't already registered.
That's acheivable. I can imagine a page, short statement on it with clickable link below to ARS (here) it isnt too hard to set up (Time on Hammy's part is the main problem. He is very busy.
I will wait for Hamms to materialise. Im sure he'll see this thread and comment..

I only went through the list quickly at work during lunch, must have missed you.
Still lots of others missing though, but above ideas all sound good.
Also very confused about the ones that have registered , but have gone totally quiet, because as mentioned earlier, people like Danowat used to post most nights and there are quite a few others who were also busy on the forum in the last few weeks before Christmas. Perhaps they're still gettin over too much booze over the hols!

Never know they might all pop up quite soon.

AS D-Rider says if anybody has any issues about the move and are just browsing as guests, let us know and we can try and sort it.
This place really is just like 'ome.
