He was at my house the other week and we were out for a blast last week so he's alive. I'll give him a bell later on if you like.

Don't forget, he is only able to arrange for rear lenses in reasonable sized batches, that was why we did a job lot last time. Plus the the mold, (or is it mould

), only does so many before it needs a new one, so not a straightforward job, think he lost money last time!
Might
just be enough people needing them to make it worthwhile for him, especially if there was some interest in other areas.

I don't think he's that keen on doing em again as he lost out like you say but I'll ask. If he doesn't, I'll get the details and work out some costs and might do it myself.

Did he actually loose out? I thought most of us sent him additional payments to cover the shortfall.
I certainly hope he broke even on the deal as the lenses were superb and he did a good job in pulling it all together.
Can definitely understand him not wanting to do another batch given the hassle.
I do remember Gio saying he'd have a go at making some over the winter. I'm sure that didn't get done but it may be worth asking him ... but even if he were willing to try, you'd have to wait 'till he was able to have a go.

I've sent him a PM too - though not about rear lenses.
Got something he may want
If anyone gets a hold of him please tell him to check his 'in box'

Might have broken even in the end but like you say, it was a bit of a hassle. I'll have a chat later and find out the crack. Might pre-order and pre-payment thing next time. The quality is superb, I agree.

Please ask him to PM me.
I did ask around on this forum and the AF1 forum and there are a fair number of pot. buyers.
The reason I want to contact him is to ask if the numbers add up and if he is willing to start production. (maybe payment up front? etc.)

Indeed I did, but like a lot of things in the last year I never got round to it.
I'll have a look around for the printouts etc I made of how to go about it and maybe even have a word with a local firm who are in the mould business (they make moulds for boat bits)
