Worth bearing in mind that the pattern of these wheels is owned by Aprilia, OZ used to manufacture the wheels for Aprilia but all the new Factory bikes are coming with the MGT wheels. They look identical to the OZ. The blue OZ from a new bike is not available anymore, so if you have a set of true OZs from your 04-08RSVR, 07 Tuono Factory, the only replacement is the MGT wheels.

Real OZ has the OZ logo on them, and mine say MT just like the new Tuono Factories on sale now

Aprilia owns the design, so they just switched manufacturers when OZ quit making them.

1st gen OZ wheels are darker, appear painted, and are for the "old" frame bikes 98-03 Mille, 02-05 Tuono for non-radial brakes

2nd gen OZ wheels are brighter blue, anodized, for the "new" frames 04-08 RSVR, and 06-08 Tuono, and are made for the radial front brakes

All that glitters is not gold and all that!!!!!

Cheers Rich - though I have to say I wouldn't put it up against your T - Tasteee!

So now I'm really confused. The wheels are supposedly from an 04 Tuono but they are anodised and deffo non-radial. They're stamped OZ and the all up weights are the similar to HR's - but my original wheels were lighter than his - go figure! :smt017 It isn't really important, I'm just one of those people who can't let go until I understand!

Anyway, I want to come and pick your brain sometime about your superb restoration of the Yam as I've got a '64 CB77 to resurect and could do with some tips.

That's the one Howard and actually, I got it wrong, it's a '66. It was a runner and still turns over OK but is in need of some (OK, a lot) of TLC. Now the weather is bit warmer, I might actually get in the garage and start work on it.
The ride is the reason ........ the destination is just the excuse.

Just checked myself!

You've probably seen this site then -
http://www.honda305.com/forum/index.htm

In the mists of time when I had my Matchless 650 CSR, and all my mates had Triumph, BSA or Norton 650s plus one mate with a Tiger 100 SS, one of our lot bought a CB72 250, how we took the piss, but he amazed everybody by being as quick as the Tiger 100. Then another mate got a 305 and that would stay with a 650 Gold Flash, we were well impressed. Before that, Brit bikers thought they were all a joke. Then they started building 4 pot Hondas and the world changed!
