Well, well, had to ride 90 miles home on the beast and it was a very enlightening event! Feels like an automatic with so much torque and hardly having to change gear, in fact on several ocasssions I was tootling along at 70 and not even moving out of 3rd. Unfortunaterly the route home was all motorway so I didn't get a chance to do much on it. Few things I noticed, gear change very easy compared to my '05 Z1000 which was very notchy in comparison, riding position felt fairly comfortable after 2.5 hours, just a bit of an ache in the right shoulder but I haven't ridden for nearly 6 months so that was probably the reason. I think somebody has stolen the back brake................ :smt011 All in all very impressed and can't wait to get out on a proper ride, though due to work and holiday this won't be for at least 2 weeks. One thing though, it has Leo Vince Titanium cans fitted and they are bloody noisy, could hardly hear when I got off, what are the standard cans like? BTW, it's a lovely red one and very groovy looking indeed, pictures to follow when the sun shines.

Thanks guys, I think I'm going to love it!!!! :smt005

If you change the cans back to stock we will ignore you for the rest of your life... :smt019

Just kidding, stockers really arn't that bad, at least in my case when I bought the bike. (some how I have the idea the previous Italian owner has modified the stock ones).

Standards are worse...trust me, 'cause me right side fighter can tore to bits (too much power =P) and had to put the silencers back on =/

BTW welcome to the falco side!

Great choice of bike, I think you will find you like it!
Get some decent earplugs and you will be fine. You will need them anyway sooner or later. If not already done, you'll need to play with the induction next. You can go for a full airbox mod or simply fit a K&N like me, which works very well with the cans.
The BIG PROBLEM ???? :smt017 :smt017 is that it gets even noisier still, right under your face. Just enjoy the bike and the noise, this is a real bike engine not a screaming Jap car engine, you really will get to like it.
