Jincheng 125 spares?

Question, for my learned friends on RS..

Just been to help a lad who had an attempt at nicking his bike made last night.

Luckily it was an amateur effort and the Oxford Disc Lock managed to stop 'em nicking his bike (A 6 month old Jinseng 125cc thing..)

His dealer is a bit of a rip off by all accounts and will charge him the earth for spares and labour.. all that's gone is the speedo cable and the drive housing at the front wheel. A 10 minute repair really, that doesnt warrant an insurance claim or a dealership to fix it. Ive told him to get the spares and I'll help him..

Anyone know of anywhere that sells Jinsengs? I cant remember the exact model, but basically need a contact for spares as chances are theyre going to be cheaper elsewhere, especially if He goes there on a recommendation...

So.. Jinseng, that bastion of chinese motorcycling (stop sniggering).. anyone got a dealership/spares contact?

Cheers Gentlefolk. Ive tried Ebay, tried a google search and as far as im aware the Honda parts wont fit, only for the engine.


A bit more research shows the bike is based on a Suzook, with a Honda Engine. Blasted front wheel is different though, as is the speedo drive.

"Aprilia is a world-renowned motorcycle producer, owner of the industry's top brands, and a part of the largest motorcycle production entity in Europe. Devon Motorcycles exclusively distributes Jincheng bike models in the United States. Jincheng has led China's motorcycle industry in exports and foreign exchange income for nine consecutive years. In 2005, the company exported more than 500,000 bikes to 40 countries, and produced annual revenues over $625 million. Jincheng has been recognized by China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce as "the country's leading brand (Beijing Review)."

Oh my aching sides...

Im sorry... So does this mean (serious head on) that this is all part of Aprilia's rise from the ashes?
They were on the edge of extinction a while back, is this their way of clawing their way back up?
Chinese engined bikes? The new models (after Tuono I guess) ?? I could see it saving millions in labour charges as far as assembly and production of the engines go. Shiver? Errm.. No ta.

As for parts for the Jinsheng whatever - he'll be bloody lucky to get any. bike mechanic I know says he refuses to work on the cheap Chinese bikes cos they clutter up his workshop while it takes months to get any spares for them, and even longer to get the right ones!

Yeah I had that idea forming earlier.

It really is a bag of bollix, it looks like a 25 year old hack of an MZ condition-wise, yet it's 6 months old and has been washed weekly.
He's got a list of problems on it too that extends to at least 1 full page of A4..

I suppose I could do a GSX125 front end conversion on it..

I think if you have a J&S handy they do spares, (well the one at New Malden did last year)
