Opening up of the forums

#1 Post by Kwackerz » Tue Mar 11, 2008 11:23 pm

As of The evening of Friday 14th, I will be opening up all the RiderSites to public view (ARS, KRS, HRS) this is mainly to allow the bots to crawl the Site, which will ultimately help with raising the Sites' profiles on the interweb thingy.. :smt001

I propose to have the Site fully open to view for approximately one week to allow a fair crack at the googlebots, etc, and allow people to peruse the other RiderSites and maybe add content as you see fit. :smt002 If it works, this may continue, but provisionally im aiming at one week only.

Please do respect the other Sites that will be open... Blatent trolling posts will be met with post deletion, ridicule and a public beating with a large Halibut. :smt005 No..really.. :smt019

HRS? Oh yeah.. There's a new Honda RiderSite coming into being... no you cant have a peek now... :smt002

As always I ask for your support in helping the other Sites to progress. If you have something that you feel you can add, which will benefit that particular Site, then please feel free to do so!

I am currently looking into a phphack to allow parts of the forum to be 'opted out of' so that the whole forum can stay Public (good for the health of the Site) but there be a way that you can ignore the parts that you personally dislike. (good for the sanity of the member)

Thanks as always for your help :smt023 Here's to a week of complete bedlam and chaos

Oh and Yes I will temporarily remove the Site introduction posts 'How to access the...' just to avoid confusion...

Thanks very much for your help!
This should prove a win-win situation for all (especially ARS as it will allow you to cross link to threads on your Site on some of those lesser Aprilia forums scattered around the interweb while allowing the other parts of the Site to gain recognition)

Or even a haddock?

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine... Really .
