Well, that's gone and done it...
Well, I'm just about to sign my life away.
I'm off to buy TLoML a Ducati Monster for her birthday. After I promised her I wouldn't...
See you all in the after-life.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Morning all,
Contrary to personal belief, expectations of my demise were greatly exaggerated!
I then took her out to where I'd hidden it. She kept going on about it being too big a present for her and how she wasn't worth it, mixed with "It's beautiful". It took her about 5 minutes to reach out and touch it, as if she expected it to disappear.
Oh yes, she loves it. She's trying to find a name for it. Something Italian (obviously) and female.
Do I still live? So far!
(Which means you're not rid of me yet! <queue the evil laughter>)

Yep. I had the bike delivered on Monday whilst she was at work, and hid it in a store-room off the garage. I then wrapped the keys and owner's manual up in a box with gold paper, ribbons, etc and gave that to her.Yam wrote:So has the Mrs seen the bike yet, Viking?

Well, they say that the new ones have much longer service intervals (now 12,000km!) and cost about half as much as before, so hopefully the Monster will be cheaper than the Falco.snapdragon wrote: I quite like 'em but couldnt afford all the ducati repairs
so do she like it ?
