There's better things to do on Saturday...

...than sit at work :smt012

But I'm trying not to think about them, as it will just depress me.

On the plus side, I'll pulled the bike out the garage for the first time in what seems ages to ride up to work :smt023

I can sympathise with the working on a Saturday thing.
May will see me doing the whole month 'at work' with no time off, sat in a Tent on Salisbury Plain surrounded by reels of barbed wire and minefield stores. :smt001

Now that I'm part-time, I work only half the Saturdays I used to - the really annoying thing is that an awful lot of the rallies and events I want to go to this year seem to coincide with the weekends I'm working! :smt011

Anyone in on Sunday as well? :smt009

Good ride in this morning though, not trying hard and I've dusted off all but the last few mil of chicken strips (further than I've ever gone before :smt040 ). Have to check the tyre pressures and see if that's anything to do with it :smt017

I went for my 'rideout' yesterday on the 'Ped. Amazing just how the desire to get out on 2 wheels will force the hand. I get enough enjoyment out of the Ped as I have out of some of my 'proper' motorcycles. It still refuses point blank go go over 46mph! Not bad for a 50cc moped, fat bastid on the front and Son on the back :smt005 :smt005

Was meant to be going in to work today (voluntarily) but sacked the idea. Just cant be arsed with it. Sun almost shone earlier.. may nip out to the shops on the Ped.. :smt005 How'd you pull a Sat and Sun shift then?

Foolishly volunteered. We've got some contractors in the office fitting air conditioning for a server room I'm responsible for, plus I get paid hourly while the rest of the office are salaried so I thought I'd do it and get paid rather than someone from my team not being in for two days this week (they do little enough as it is without being out of the office for two days!).

Plus I've got some personal reports to produce, so I might as well get paid for doing them here as sat at home on my own time :smt002 , and the gym I go to is right next door to work so i'll pop in afterwards.

Get out while the sun's nearly shining! And don't forget the sun-cream :smt004

:smt005 I did get out! Well.. if you call 6 miles 'out'
Quick jaunt down to Tesco for a tub of Cottage Cheese :smt001

45mph head down, arms in, legs firmly pulled in.. :smt011

I did manage to overtake one of the Kids from the Village on his NRG 50.. a bit like the Conning Tower Flypast on TopGun... :smt003 :smt003 **

** ..'like' in that I travelled past him. The actual closing speed was nowhere near as exciting as on 'TopGun' however the fact that I managed to hold a conversation with the lad as I passed him was the true highlight of the rideout

'You flat out Mate?'

'Yeah, Fekkin shite innit'

'Aye, never mind, give it a year or so and my daughter'll have this bike'

'Cool!'

..

'yeah and she'll kick yer arse on it too.....'
