Ah, Crickhowell... Reminds me of that bloody hellhole of a training camp Cwrt y Gollen. So I googled it..

Yaay Me! They shut the fecker!

I can now lay ghosts of early morning PT sessions up that bloody mountain behind it to rest... and beastings round the parade square.. and doing the Fan dance over Pen Y Fan...

It was all that camp's fault.

:smt001 I hope it gets bulldozed.. and then some more...

Food was very nice. Hence we thought we'd give them the opportunity to redeem themselves.......... but at a couple of quid under a hundred for two people the service was v. v. poor

I thought paying 30 quid in a Little Chef for 2 meals was daylight robbery. 100 quid for a valentine's day meal? Crikey!

Saying that, Mrs K just told me the place we were going to have gone to for a meal on valentine's day was 70 quid for a 4 course meal in the Centre of Cambridge. Im glad we couldnt get a babysitter..

I'd want it served on naked 18 year old virgins at that price. 125 quid?! Ive bought cars for half that price AND they had Tax and MOT and half a tank of fuel!

Can you get any 18 year old virgins these days?
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

we have one but we are saving here for Halloween.....

being suffolk we have locked her brother up as well

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Kwackerz........... if you are around Cambridge and IF it's still there............. The Caxton Gibbet on the way from Cambridge to St Neots [think it was the A48], goes past Papworth...... is a top notch restaurant. Had our best ever valentines day meal there and it was around £65 for two peeps........was 9+yrs ago though........

The Caxton Gibbet stands on a small knoll between Cambridge and St Neots. Not far away is the pub of the same name, which has been haunted in the past by phantom footsteps.

According to a local story one of the early landlords intended to rob three wealthy travellers who were staying at the inn. The landlord killed one of the guest in panic when he woke and found the landlord searching through his pockets. He then had to kill the other two to guarantee their silence. He disposed of the bodies down the pubs well. The mysterious footsteps are said to stop at the well as if the scene is replayed.

Another story suggests that a murderer was hung alive in an iron gibbet from the gallows and a baker who handed him a piece of bread in kindness was also hanged

Sounds like a nice place.. :smt002 :smt001
I shall give it a shooftie sometime :smt001
