How many Falco riders tochange a light bulb?

#1 Post by FalcoJock » Sat Feb 16, 2008 8:01 pm

After 7 year, my dipped healamp bulb has gone phut (so pretty good really)! The owner's manual says just turn the handlebars fully one way, but I still can't see how to get at it. What's the minimum (I'm lazy that way) I need to take off the bike to get access to change the bulb? Looks to me to be the upper fairing but I don't want to start on that if not necessary.

Thanks for any advice.

a small child will have small enough hands.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Slightly easier access if you just remove the screen.
I also find it helps if you work over the front (in front of the headlamp) of the bike.

Thanks guys. In the bright sunshine of this morning (what a glorious day) it looked much easier. My hands are relatively small so just squeezed in the gap, and the job only took ten minutes. What else can I tinker with until the frost has gone??? I need to replace the clutch fluid - cup of tea then on with it.

worth doing that one, my clutch fluid had crap in it, and wore away the seal in the master cylinder.
I was in Italy at the time!
not difficult to replace the seal, but difficult to get the part from Aprilia. (got mine from a bearings shop)
