Excellent replacement for OE item.
Kit comprises rubber seal with billet aluminium backing plate, and Air Filter.
As in photo it will come attached the the bottom half of the original air box.
Kit uses Underside of tank to form the rest of the airbox

Someone snap it up before i do. I paid £100 for mine 2nd hand and i just got the alu-ring and the filter. The filters are over £40 by themselves although it looks like it needs a good powerwash

Hope you don't mind if I join in with all this free flowing hot air goin around.
When I first planned to fit race cans, I was a bit worried about balancing things up on the inlet side. I fitted road legal Beowulf Titanium cans and Beowulf told me these would be OK, without having to mods the ECU in some way, if I keft the baffles in. Bloody loud with the mini baffles in so no problem doing that. I also read an article somewhere (can't now remember where), that stated if you fitted race cans it was always better to mod the induction as well the balance things up. Also hinted that most fuel injection systems would then be able to handle this sort of minor change without any further mods, (carbs would be more likely to need re-jetting). Anyway I decided to fit a K&N kit at the same time as the cans.
Results noticed were -
an obvious improvement in performance
the flat spot around 5k ish was now gone
it also seemed to pull better from low down.
So I was well happy, had always planned to try and get it on a dyno ASAP but as it went so well never got around to it. Checked plugs and exhaust and looked pretty much identical to before, if anything looked to be running very slightly richer, so not running very weak as can sometimes be a major concern.
So I've been running this way since, local dealer checked it over some time ago doing a service and he was as happy as he could be without a dyno run.
So with my limited experience a can and filter/airbox mod seems to work.
Having said that, I never tried the cans with the standard filter.
The ECU has had the usual snip job so it uses the higher performance mapping.

love to get that but Ive just had to pull-out fer a new back tyre n chain n sprockets so Im as poor as can be at the mo...

Was meant to be temporary, I've done more than a thousand miles with this mod with no issues at all. 10 quid.
