Windows and Vista

#1 Post by Myrkk » Mon Nov 26, 2007 5:40 pm

GRRR. my laptop config. keeps changing itself. Either outlook changes the display or as of now my current display has changed to large font all over and changing the settings in tools or restarting the laptop isn't making a difference.

Any suggestions, everything is kinda blurry

I've tried that Samray to no avail.

Interestingly, if I go into the other user profile on this laptop everything is ok. I've been comparing settings and so far everything is the same........ It's driving me potty.

yep, and to make matters worse this is an acer laptop and acer have put their own internet management and e-security etc programs on it... which means it disconnects from the internet when it feels like it. Had to switch the thing off 'cause it was switching off the web connection every minute or so for a bit then ok for a bit then ........... you get the drift. I just know if I try and uninstall it though the whole laptop will go kabloom :smt009 It's not compatible with msn either so I've had to get yahoo which I promised I'd never use......

why is this annoying me so much? Oh yeah, I'm not able to play Gothador now and I'm having withdrawal symptoms GRRRRRRRR

Mine was preloaded on an Acer too. Should be switching to XP sometime this week, when I feel inspired...lol

hmmm, no probs [fingers crossed] with audio, and system restore has sorted the problem. YESSSS.

I didn't get the original discs with the laptop so don't want to risk switching OS. Interestingly, the office that I loaded on it has a save as compatible with earlier versions of word option. Well I thought it was interesting.
