Nah - but I did think of starting up a similar thing to Facebook - but only accessible after the pubs have shut on a Friday night.

I was going to call it "Off Yer Facebook" - perhaps with special links to e-bay auctions for Pierre .....

There would probably be much less puerile twaddle on "Off Yer Facebook". :smt003

oooh was just reading an article about parents signing on and posing as similar aged kids to their own kids and spearing them..... don't know what to make of it, one dad found out his 15 yr old daughter was seeing a 28 yr old bloke.... he freaked at her, she freaked at him for invasion of privacy... and they sorted it all out lol.

On the one hand it seems a good idea, on the other, it is invading their privacy :smt017

Would you do that K if you had suspicions they were up to no good?

We regularly talk online as it is, so for them it's normal to have me kicking about. I think that drives them to be careful on the net as Im constantly warning them of stuff in passing.. Like the eldest having her mobby no. in view, address on another site, etc. Hence the bit about me keeping tabs on them..
I think they see it as watching their back for them rather than spying on them. TBH I seldom bother checking up on them as they tend to sit n talk geek with me anyways about their page design for such and such a site, what add ons theyve got on another..what crappy things theyve got on MSN in the way of smileys, etc. I also get told who theyre chatting to on MSN, etc.. Not that I get complacent about it, now and again I will accidentally drop a load of clothes off to be put away when theyre on MSN and note what's going on.. as yer do.. :smt002

I'd never disguise myself as someone else of a similar age to them as it's pointless. They only talk to friends that they know offline at School and at Football club or Youthclub, theyre very cliquey like that round our way... which is quite handy really!

It would me, but my kids like Tims are used to me being online.

I chat a fair bit with them there as well (think its something to do with not looking like an old fart as they can't see me).
