No doubt there'll be a few, but perusing autotrader today I found this little beauty
TALBOT SUNBEAM (LOTUS)
204bhp..
Sadly it's the wrong colour to flick my switch, overpriced and most definately not concours, but I used to love the Sunbeam. Even the 1300cc I learnt to drive in was a blast, Missed a trick when Sam sold that one on

So, my choice, the Lotus Sunbeam, the original hot hatch.
So what tickled your teenage fancy in the Automobile world?

Lotus Elan
Bentley Azure convertible
Morgan +8
Jaguar XK120
Original Mini Cooper
Hillman Imp rally car (Rover 3.5 litre engine 3 speed Borg and Beck gearbox) Top speed was only about 80 but it'd get there in about 4 seconds. (My godfather actually had one)
There's loads more, but I'm off out for dinner now so you'll have to wait

Dodge Viper
Never mind as a kid, I still yearn after one now. Alright, they won't go round corners, but they look a whole lot of fun in a straight line

All a bit before my time I'm afraid (apart from the Viper), the Lamborgini Countach was adorning evry red-blooded boy's bedroom wall when I was growing up

Racing is life - anything before or after is just waiting.

Can't say I evber hankered after a particular car as a kid, prolly cos my Dad had a succession of gorgeous cars including various Jags and an Allard, but of all his cars my favourite was the Healey Tickford. His had warm beige body and dark cherry red wings, it was soooo gorgeous!

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

Yes but this was IN the old world Kwackerz!
Think I was about 15 when he had that car - a year or two ago!

I can remeber sitting in the dicky seat of my Grandfathers Bullnose Morris.
It was great during the summer, forget the winter.
