There's a sticky on the Fazer forum about bikes shedding their front sprockets, don't say Falcos are going to start doing the same thing!
As for bolts and nuts vibrating loose, it's not something I've noticed much (maybe I take the thing to bits more regularly than other owners so get to tighten everything up more often?) but I do keep losing one of the bolts that holds the hugger on, I'm on the fourth or fifth one now in little over a year. I also noticed this afternoon while cleaning it that while doing Europe I've lost a bolt from the underside of the rear bodywork and that all the exhaust clamp bolts were looser than they were before the trip. Chain and sprockets are still looking good after 20,000 miles though.
Chain snapped!

Glad your OK mate, that could have been very nasty.
Coincidentally I posted a thread about possible front sprocket loss on the AF1 Tuono forum as when I changed the front sprocket on the Tuono, I found it to be fitted just finger tight (I kid you not) it's now re-fitted and torqued up properly with Loctite 243 (as per the Aprilia manual)
1 reply and just 90 views of this thread probably tells you everything you need to know about the contributors over there. The thread on "different windscreens " (remember this is an almost naked bike) has been viewed 20,315 times and has 246 replies in comparison
