The Shiver's already got the SL tag .... but without any bodywork and those sit-up-and-beg bars, it ain't no falco. Let's hope they do the necessary changes and drop in a bigger motor.

With so many Summer-only riders, have Aprilia missed the main market again ... surely with a name like Shiver, this is a winter bike!

am certain that in one of the mags / comics last month someone from aprilia stated that the lump in the shiver was going to stretch to 1000 cc and they would be making a sports tourer with that...

I like the look of the Tuono myself, however I hope they have more colours than red/white as it looks odd in those.

Yeah - I think both 1000cc and 1200cc have been mentioned - but it needs more than the bigger motor to make it into a Falco successor - a more sporty riding position and some weather/wind-blast protection are mandatory (in my view)

IMO, they all seem a little, erm, bland... :smt017
The Shiver looks like an ER6.
The Mana looks like a CB500.
The Tuono an old Gixer Thou streetfighter :smt005
And the RSV looks like an R1!
WTF!?!? :smt015
Boring....
Bring us an all new Falco to drool over with a revamped twin-spar frame, sharper styling, the Mille swinger as standard and an instant discount to all current Falco owners! :smt005

If youre gonna go with a minging gold frame at least continue it to the swingarm.

I'm not a fan of the gold frames myself.

But the Shiver does look good, and Aprilia reckon it'll have the 1200 "V" (the 90 degree) motor in it for 2008, I reckon that will be a great bike although as already noted, where's the "proper" sports Tourer for the line up gone??

Can you imagine how good an updated Falco would be? it's the only thing missing from the range

The Tuono's & RSV's are two of the best looking bikes on the road period (IMHO)
If only I could afford some plastic surgey to have my gut surgically removed I have one of each to the falco company

Trouble with that isif it was continued to the swingarm it'd make the back end look very bulky when viewed side on.

I'd prefer to see the whole frame coded to match the bikes paintwork, or have it polished. :smt001

Well, the RSV factory gets my vote - although I wouldn't buy one as it's a bit more radical than I would want. Quite like the Tuono but the colour scheme is bloody awful IMHO. As for the other 2, don't like either much, I think they are both a mess - and who on earth came up with those names :smt009 .

There's still a lucrative market out there for a good 'Sports Tourer' which Aprilia could so easily tackle. They missed the boat with the Falco due to over optimistic pricing and poor marketing. Only now, after it's been out of production for 2 years, is the world waking up to what a great all rounder it truly is. So come on Aprilia, learn from the past and give the world (well, some of us anyway) what it wants.
The ride is the reason ........ the destination is just the excuse.
