But when Gio took his test it was bloody hard to get the Horse to reverse the Chariot INTO a side turning. It was easier to turn the Horse into a dead end, thus forcing it to reverse OUT.

Bit like when you take your car test, they used to ask you to reverse out of a side turning which was illegal.

I had to reverse INTO one .... which is not illegal.

Everybody has to reverse into a side street on a car test.

Actually not so these days, reverse round corner is one of four maneuvers, you will only get two of these in a test !
