Pressure treated sawn softwood that hasnt been externally treated? (cheap stuff at that..)
Hmm... Ok then.. it's sat on a fairly flat wall, so that's great for the sawn ends sat on it.. the water'll creep up thru that nice cut end in next to no time... so let's give it a year for the rot to set in..
So that'll take us to this time next year. By that time that crappy metal fixing and the galvy nails will have started to move about, so that'll be on it's way to coming loose (reckon it'll catch the wind nicely) which'll also let the rain in, as well as holding the water nicely to the cut ends there..
So we have:-
1. A cheap fence that the neighbour hasnt bothered to treat properly (the standard treating lasts about a year or so in UK climes before needing to be redone, if it's gonna survive..)
2. It's held together with nails, not screws.. (Or are they screws? Add 6 months to that if it's screws)
I'll go for July 2008.
24th, to be precise..
I fekkin hate B and Q.
