Hello. I'm ashamed to say it's over 2 years since I was here last.

I popped in to get some tips on the type of tubing to replace the coolant level sight tube that has disintegrated as I was changing the coolant today.

I'm doing a few little jobs to tidy up my Falco as I haven't got anywhere to store it so it will soon be up for sale. I don't want to give the new owner a heap of bad news. Actually there's not much needed. Oil and filter done. Brake and clutch fluid changed. Just need to finish the coolant job...

Well, good to see you back, anyway! I just used flexible tubing of the correct i.d. and then used small coloured tie-wraps to indicate high and low levels. The OE tube is no longer available and cracks and splits over time anyway.

Shame that you've got to sell it. They're getting scarcer and scarcer...

Very few, I'm afraid. Viking pops back from time to time, but most of the old Falco crew decamped when there was a change of ownership. Dunno why, really. Everyone was worrying that all the forum info would be lost, but it's all still there. I don't think they've gone to different forums, just migrated to Facebook I think. Which is a b1t sh1t...

I still pop in occasionally and still have my Falco alongside my Xjr and old Xs1100.
I ride the Xjr a lot because of the comfort, but always come back with a smile after riding the Falco.

I keep an eye on here, but I'm not actively involved. Not riding much recently or doing any work, and as noted it's all gone a bit quiet. Although, as I write this - "Users browsing this forum: Firestarter and 9 guests", so either people not logged in or spambots
