... The RSV-R transplant.
So, the exhausts will be first, and having already sourced a pair of RSV-R pipes I will be making a start as soon as I can comfortably remain vertical for more than 30 minutes..
I've already stripped the cans and will be junking the heavy internals and replacing it with a length of 75mm perforated stainless tube. I chose 75mm (which is actually fucking huge by the way)because that was the OD of the cat housing, and which I could cut and re-weld conically if needed.
Not my pic but it gives you an idea of what it's going to be like inside the sleeve..
So, the question is:
De-cat or not?

My un researched, unscientific few cans of beer thinking is that junking the cat will reduce restrictions and maybe avoid problems with it clogging up in later miles.
Zorst tuning is a rather dark art so read up what you can...
If you do decide to ditch the cat, don't drop the bloody thing on your foot

Haha funny ...
The cat is relatively small, maybe 5 inches long by two inches thick so isn;t likely to represent much of a challenge weight wise..
I don't know if cats like these actually clog in the biblical sense but it would be difficult to measure the actual flow area with the media in place...

You might well break the law doing that, also are you sure it will improve performance as the system is designed for the Cat.

Hmmm well, breaking the law...? That's a hard one. I guess as long as the emissions are ok then it'll get through an MOT, so that only leaves
noise
Not a massive issue in my book - I've only got one grumpy neighbour who glares at me through his hedge and next door but one lives a properly fit MILF who thinks my bike sound's 'horny' as it is now... I think the new pipes will probably be able to blow her knickers off. I would imagine they're pretty flimsy though.
As far as performance is concerned it's pretty academic really, but Gabro has cored a later RSVR with a resonant chamber cat and went as far as cutting the chamber open to weld a section of tube in to maintain the header diameter before it enters the can. Gabro knows his onions.

Pics needed for confirmation purposes
Also, one of the bike with the new exhaust wouldn't go a miss!

I don't think de-cat-ing would be a legal issue.
If I've got this right, you are bunging these on a Falco which doesn't have a cat - so no different to sticking on any other after-market or bespoke cans (at least, that's how it seems to me).

Exactly D-man.
I've yet to track Gabro down but will doubtless stalk him until it is a done deed.
This is not the lady in question but looks very very close...
