I'm having a Laphroaig triple wood, so what do you fancy now I am officially retired.

Failing that boll damn
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Laphroaig triple wood is really peaty, I also have a 30 year old Caol Ila (its 32 years old now) but I have yet to taste that.

I have put my brake lines on hold for now as I am going down the de link route and want to get it right, it'll more than likely be done when I dismantle the bike to have the frame polished and the plastics painted, which will more than likely be next winter now as all my time will be taken up decorating until March then off to Dubai for 2 weeks , by which time the weather will be nicer and I'll want to get out on it a couple of days a week.

Ignore the price I didn't pay that much https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/p/148 ... riple-wood

Sounds like the Triple is a vast improvement over the standard, so glad to join you in a glass or two.
As for the decorating...

I love decorating, its my release from the drudgery that is work (admittedly now a past memory) I find I can relax and become a bit more introspective, which apart from being good for me is good for my family, who in times past have compared me to a rottweiler.

Yes the triple is a lot better than the standard, but I'd like to be able to afford the Laphroaig 15 year old, only tried it once while in Edinburgh and the hotel charged £17.50 for a dram :smt010

Perhaps after a few weeks of your earnest endeavors you cold drop a few hints about 'how nice the house looks now' and 'how much we have saved by not having to get a man in' and 'I really fancy a bottle of...'

LOL. Just think if I did get a man in to do decorating I'd not be able to afford some nice drink. but we did use workmen to rebuild walls, plaster and wire new sockets in and cheap it ain't :smt103 :smt010

I'd love to join you in a drop of something red - I'm sure whatever you pour me will be most acceptable!

Cheers!

Posh Bordeaux. Most people have heard of St Emilion, but Pomerol is its less well-known but higher class neighbour.

One of the best wines I've ever tasted in my life was a Pomerol; a 1990 Chateau La Fleur de Gay. Sensational.
