Hi
Can anyone recommend a good cleaning foam please, after watching several bike cleaning videos, they advise a foaming product rather than the standard stuff plus water as it lifts the crap off the paintwork.
Is Demon foam any good
Cheers JP

Dunno but apparently microfiber traps dirt further down reducing the risk of scratches
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Cleaning? .... talk to Nooj - he's the expert.
Not a foamer but don't go near that awful Muc Off - ruined the finish on my powder coated swinging arm and some other bits.
(that is unless you are trying to go for a matt finish)

The best cleaner for bikes and cars I've ever used is this stuff called Fairy Liquid.. Sounds like it's some sort of gay-bar rape drug, but it's this green slimey stuff that when mixed with hot water turns into a brilliant cleaner. It's not meant for cleaning vehicles, though.. Contains a lot of salt and other things which make things rust quicker, but all I do is make sure to hose it all off afterwards.
The best bit is it's sold all over the place. Even my local corner shop sells it, and they just about stock bread n' milk.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Fairy soap flakes, the stuff for fine wool.
Fairy liquid for the inside of your visor on nice winter mornings, stops it misting up.
Polytrol for plastics, metalwork, paintwork. But 1st make sure you bike/car/etc is clean and dry. I used it on my old Blackbird for the alloys which were not painted/laquered and it really made them shine

All secret handshakes and passwords.. Just about getting to 'grips' with it all.

As a heavy duty cleaner on heavily soiled metals, engine degrease foam (any brand)
For cleaning brake disks, calipers, or antthing that is rusting, use dragon breath. Rinse, then use brake cleaner.
For cleaning the chain, paraffin.
For plastics, pretry much any standard car/bike cleaner. I've always used the bike cleaner from poundland, cheap and does the exact same job as muck off.
