Blue 03 Falco for sale
As certain eagle-eyed members have noticed, my blue Falco is up for sale on a well-known internet auction site. Here's the link:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201644752757
I'll post up the pics I've loaded on ebay here tomorrow, when I'm back in Sheffield, Basically I've found that having 2 Falcos isn't working for me; I'd be better off with a completely different second bike, I think.
Also, as those of you with a long memory will remember, I inadvertently rode the bike through an acid spill in France last year, and it's taken me this long to restore it to its former condition. The bike has been stripped back to just engine and frame and anything that was acid-affected has either been polished, painted or replaced.
However now I just don't have the desire to ride it; I don't know why. Plus I've lost the use of a lockup garage I have rented for decades and I simply have to cut down on the number of bikes I have. Two have already gone (a pair of old 60s Hondas) and the blue Falco is next. It was getting unmanageable and this has forced me to be a bit more realistic.
If anyone is interested in buying direct and cutting out the eBay middleman, then it's yours for £1700.
But the red Falco is staying. That's a keeper.

Cheers Paul - over the winter it was stripped back to just the frame and engine, pretty much. Everything else was off and getting cleaned up. Thankfully I bought an Abba SkyLift last year, and it really proved its worth on that job. Wouldn't have liked to have tried it without something like that to help.

Well, my baby's gone...
But on the upside, I'm confident the bike's gone to a good home and someone who will look after it. Steve from Barnsley is the new owner and he has excellent pedigree, having previously owned a TL1000S. I've told him about this site, so hopefully he'll be along sometime soon.
